In the last resident committee meeting, Able City and Alamo Architects, reviewed the project timeline, gave the residents an update on the final design direction, and facilitated a fun connectivity activity.

We asked the residents to place stickers where improvements need to be made to make Alazan a safer, walkable neighborhood. We heard many suggestions and comments from residents on how we can achieve that.

Connectivity Activity
What did the residents have to say?
-
Many residents pointed that there is a need for lighting along the creek.
-
We heard a lot from residents that they felt unsafe walking on the sidewalks, so many residents put a stop sign or a speed bump at main intertsections of Alazan Courts.
-
Since Tafolla Middle School and Lanier High School are across Alazan, many residents proposed safe crosswalks on Brazos St.
-
We saw many residents place a bus stop on Brazos St.

After completing the activity we thanked the residents for joining us along the master plan process, and said goodbye until we meet again for the next step!
